ready to go! by Elder Robby... :)

well.... Time really is running fast!!!!!! But, even though it is making me nervous and a little bit sad, about leaving for all this time, I am WAAAAAAAY exited to go!
Tomorrow I am leaving from Nuernberg at 6:30 in the morning to paris and from there then to SLC! 2:05 pm I will arrive there!

I am glad, proud and honoured to be allowed to speak and teach the lord`s word! And I truly hope, that I will make him proud, too. A life of blessings is what heavenly father has given me. So, 2 years of work is what he will get back from me, for that!
I love my saviour and friend Jesus Christ! I know he loves me very much, and has died for me because of that! I love his gospel and love my life! Families can be forever and I am glad to be part of one of the best! I am thankful for the truth in my life and for the many things we learn on earth. It's not always easy...but we can ALWAYS make it, with the lord on our side!

i hope i can always remember that!!! and i hope i will return a better man...
i am happy for the future and know it holds great things for every one of us!
WE just have to be ready for them!

Everyone... TAKE GOOD CARE! i will miss my family and my friends!
be happy always and count your many blessings! bye bye... i will see you :)

The Time is Running!

Only a couple more days, and Elder Dautel will take off to his greatest voyage yet! On tuesday, September 29, 2009, at about 6:30 pm, he will be set appart as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! On the following morning, at about 6:30 am, he is going to fly from Nürnberg to the US. Salt Lake City to be exact, where he will be spending a week with family and friends until entering the MTC on Tuesday (Oct. 6, 2009) to finally start his mission.

We are all very excited for him and will try to keep a somewhat faithful record of his dealings with the people of Milwaukee, WI!

MIssion Call

Here is the actual call.  Ray had called the church offices in Frankfurt when it had been about 7 weeks since Robby's papers had been turned in.  The woman in the office said that the call hadn't been issued yet, but she would call when it was.  A week later she called and said that a call had been issued and the following Monday she would recieve everything from Salt Lake and it would go in the mail that day.  So that Tuesday Robby was up way early (for him) and was practically pacing the whole house, waiting for the mail to come.

If you look close you can see that according to them, Delaware belongs to Germany and we live there.  We thought perhaps this was a clue, but not so.  We waited for Jared to get home from work and then had Grandma Dautel on the phone and Richy on skype.  Rike had to work.

This face about sums up all of our responses to his call.  We were all abit surprised about Milwakee.  I talked to my grandpa after and he said that there is a strong German influence there.  Perhaps, doors will be open to him because of his heritage, that would be closed to others.  I think a lot of people in Minnesota will be surprised that he is from Germany and doesn't drink beer.  But he loves cheese, so he should have fun with that.  I hope he gets one of those cheese hats.
